meet the founder
Sammy Noyola was born in Oakland, CA HE grew up in the streets of Santa Ana and eventually wrestled at both Santa Ana High School and Santa Ana College. In 2010 he served in the US Army and obtained the rank of sergeant. During this time, he began his journey into The art of jiu jitsu and has been a practitioner for over 10 years. Competitively he has had 7 sports jiu-jitsu international federation worlds appearances. within those showings, he’s won 4 gold, 2 silver, and bronze medals, as well as a bronze and gold at the North American Brazilian jiu-jitsu federation nationals. Sammy has also been a two-time jiu-jitsu world league season champion in 2017-2018. Sammy believes that individuality and having a perfect balance of fun and structure leads to an overall better Jiu-Jitsu experience. AS a result, He founded La Union Jiu Jitsu to break away from the norm of traditional jiu-jitsu customs and form an academy that is Truly student-centered.
